I went to Moscow to visit friends, so just wanted a cheap place to sleep. The Hotel Berlin was a very reasonable price for the city. I was prepared for the basics but for a 2 star, I thought it was excellent. Better or as good as 3 or 4 star hotels I've stayed in back in England. The staff were very helpful and my room was spotlessly clean and in very good condition. The only downside was the construction going on close by, but this didn't usually start until 9am, so didn't really affect my day. Highly recommended for people on a budget, who don't mind being a little distance from the centre.
